CANDIDATE FOR DERBY SOUTH

I am dedicated to serving the people of Derby South. As a local Councillor I have served the Derby community since 2000. I have a track record of standing up for children, families and the community. I have a background in Training in the Railway Industry and have served in the British Army.

I am Chair of Governors at a Derby Primary School, and as a Mum I am an active member of the PTFA. I work with a local charity mentoring young people.

I have 3 key priorities for Derby South:

1. Getting businesses to invest in Derby South and bring more jobs, apprenticeships and economic growth to the area

2. Fighting for improvements to our local schools so our children get the best start in life and have enough local places at their school of choice

3. Campaign for changes to planning laws to ensure developers must first put the right infrastructure in place such as schools and health facilities before building large housing developments
