The people of Clacton, Frinton, Walton and the surrounding towns and villages deserve a strong local champion as their MP.

Like you, I’m passionate about our area. I live in the constituency; my first real job was in Frinton; and my wife and I have brought up our two daughters here.

As a fellow resident, I know the issues that matter to you, and as a local councillor, I’ve already delivered for our area by:

Helping secure the £36 million investment in sea defences at Holland-on-Sea – giving families more peace of mind about their future
Putting in place a policy that puts local people first when the Council allocates social housing and benefits – helping to end benefit tourism in our area
Successfully campaigning with local people to re-open maternity services at Clacton hospital – I'm now campaigning for the round the clock service we deserve
I have a plan to secure our area's future – including:

Keeping our streets safe by ensuring street lights are turned on where they need to be at night
Tackling anti-social behaviour by working with the police to get more officers on the beat
Fighting for more good local jobs, business and investment by lobbying the Government and Council to keep taxes like business rates low
