Candidate for Weston Super Mare

I am married with two daughters who attend a local primary school. I am a member of St Paul's Church in Weston. I am an HR Manager and in past, have developed programmes that support disabled people's careers. My involvement in politics stems from my faith and family backgrounds and a desire to make a positive difference to people's everyday lives.

I am standing in 2015 because Weston super Mare needs significant change to make it a place where everyone has equality of opportunity. To achieve this, we need to take the following actions:

1. Bring greater economic development to Weston and the surrounding villages by building the skills of the local workforce and attracting higher quality employment to the constituency. Improving the transport infrastructure will support this campaign.

2. Protect and improve public services with a focus on education, health (in particular ensuring Weston hospital remains within NHS control) and services for older people.

3. Make Weston feel a safer place that respects people of all age groups and backgrounds.

4. Programmes to improve the life opportunities of people living in poverty. Helping people who are long-term unemployed or who have a disability or long-term health condition into employment.
