Mike Le-Surf is a borough councillor and works for learning disability charity Mencap in the campaigns and activism team. He has lived and worked in Essex all his life and is married with two daughters.

Mike has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years is campaigning for a level playing field for all citizens. He is passionate about the representation of all members of society in parliament and will be a strong voice for residents of South Basildon and East Thurrock especially the most vulnerable.

There are many transport infrastructure issues for residents across the constituency and Mike will work hard to improve the situation for all. Mike is a member of Unison and works closely with regional members to support people in the workplace.

When he is not working in the constituency Mike enjoys music, football, cinema and spending time with his family.
