CANDIDATE FOR MIDDLESBROUGH SOUTH AND EAST CLEVELAND

Ours is a beautiful area but officials often seem hell-bent on ruining it – building on greenfield sites, constructing a wind farm in historic Guisborough, raising Council Tax and making life hard for local businesses. Where I live in Saltburn, they even tried to usher in parking charges.

This has got to stop – I want to stand up to our wasteful Labour Councils.

I love to get stuck in. I lead a programme of projects that brings local people together to improve the community. I’m also arranging an Apprenticeship Fair to bring young people and businesses together – to expand the opportunities for young people to get on in life.

I’ve started and grown small businesses before and am now Managing Director at a large company, so I understand the concerns of businesses and the crucial role they play in our economy.

I’ve also fought for a fair deal from the council and campaigned against sprawling developments and intrusive wind farms.

If you elect me, I won’t stop working until our area gets the deal it deserves.
