Lichfield, Chris Worsey

Chris Worsey is the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Lichfield. He is a Labour Councillor for Great Barr with Yew Tree in Sandwell. He is the co-founder and chair of the Black Country Youth Unemployment Commission. Chris is currently reviewing the work councils are currently doing on youth unemployment, engaging experts and outside agencies to gather ideas and examples of best practice that can be implemented at a local level. Additionally, he is currently involved in setting up a 1000 club in the Black Country to work with business to create 1000 jobs, work experience or internships for young people in the region.

Chris is also the co-founder of a technology company that specialises in education and a not for profit social enterprise. He is passionate about social justice, tackling youth unemployment and social enterprise. He holds a BA in English Literature and International Politics from Keele University and a MA in Public Policy from the University of Warwick.
