Mike Bell is an experienced local campaigner in Weston, Worle and the villages. Over the last 20 years, as a councillor and campaigner, he has fought for action on many local issues.

These have included:

Campaigning for more quality local jobs
Fighting to protect our local NHS and stop privatisation of Weston Hospital
Standing up for Weston’s poorest communities to get a fair share of funding
Working to keep village communities strong by keeping post offices, shops and schools open
At the 2010 general election, Mike Bell and the Lib Dems came a close second to the Conservatives in this area. Labour were a distant third. The Lib Dems have a real chance of winning Weston, Worle and the villages at the next general election.

Mike currently runs his own small business. He understands how important it is to create strong businesses and a stronger economy to improve our area. He has previously worked for a business development charity and for former Weston MP Brian Cotter. Mike has the real experience to get things done.

Mike Bell lives locally with his wife and two young sons and represents Weston-super-Mare Central on North Somerset Council. Mike and his family rely on local services in Weston, Worle and the villages and he believes that we need a strong local voice who lives in the area and will fight for local people.
