Harriett successfully campaigned for a new Malvern Community Hospital and a new radiotherapy facility at Worcester. She has opened six new flood defence schemes locally and continues to campaign for Tenbury Wells flood protection. She campaigns for better broadband, rail links and a local approach to housing. Harriett supports many local charities, such as Home-Start, Community Action, the Nora Parsons Day Centre, the League of Friends of Malvern, Tenbury and Pershore hospitals. She and Jim live in the Teme Valley.


HARRIETT IN PARLIAMENT

Harriett was elected as the Member of Parliament for West Worcestershire in May 2010. She served on the Work and Pensions Select Committee until 2012 when she was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister for Employment. Harriett represented the UK on the NATO Parliamentary Assembly from 2010-2014. In February 2014, Harriett joined the Government as an Assistant Whip. She is also the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Russia.
