Rossendale and Darwen deserves an MP who lives locally and stands up for the community.

Since you elected me in 2010, I’ve knocked on thousands of doors to hear the issues that matter to you.

Take unemployment – it comes up on the doorstep time and time again. That’s why I’ve been working with local businesses to help young people find work and get on in life.

Since 2010, over 4,000 young people in our community have benefitted from an apprenticeship, while unemployment is also down.

The price of petrol is another big issue for local people. I’m campaigning to bring it down and thanks to the Conservatives’ fuel duty freeze, the cost to fill up your car is £7 cheaper than it would be under Labour.

We all want our community to be safe. That’s why I fought the threat of police station closures. Crime is now down in Lancashire by 10 per cent – so you and your family are more secure.

Since 2010, I’ve listened and acted on the big local issues – and if you re-elect me, I promise to keep delivering for local people.
