Philip Eades
Poole
Cllr Philip Eades has represented and served the people of Branksome West at the Borough of Poole since 2003. He has been elected councillor three times each with a higher personal vote and majority over the Conservatives
He has led many high profile campaigns over the years – fighting inappropriate developments on Poole’s open spaces including portakabins at Whitecliff and The Solar pyramid at Baiter, opposing winter car parking charges at Poole’s beaches, campaigning for the Council to provide a temporary transit site to put an end to traveller encampments in the Borough and, most recently, leading the successful campaign to freeze Poole’s council tax for 2013/14 against 100% of Tory councillors votes.
Phil has played for the towns cricket team for over 22 years in Poole Park, both of his children were born in Poole’s hospital and are both being educated at the town’s fantastic grammar schools and he currently serves the Borough both as Chair of Planning and as Mayor.
Phil believes passionately that a constituency deserves to be represented by a local person who is qualified to speak and campaign on its issues because they affect him personally as a local resident.
