Born in Lancashire and living in Lancaster, I’m proud to stand up for this great community of ours.

From the coastal town of Fleetwood, to the many rural villages in Over-Wyre and the Lower Lune Valley, as well as the historic city of Lancaster itself, I work hard for every part of our constituency.

Since you elected me in 2010, I’ve fought your corner by:

Standing up for local residents in the fight against Halite’s plans to store gas under the River Wyre
Defending our rural bus routes – a vital local service which many of us rely on
Delivering regeneration in Fleetwood – to boost the local economy and create jobs
Campaigning for better broadband in the Lower Lune Valley – for residents and businesses alike
Working with upland and lowland farmers for flood defences – to protect our land, roads and homes
Supporting Lancaster’s world-class university and its historic town and retail centre – helping the local economy grow
Fighting for even better health services locally
As your MP, I promise to continue to stand up for our area, listen and respond to your concerns and work with you to improve this great part of our county and country.
