I will be an MP who stands up for the issues that matter in Halifax.

I’m a local resident with working class roots. I’m married to Sandra and we have two children, Matthew and Kirsty. I set up my own business after losing my job during the previous recession in the 1990s - so I know what it’s like for hardworking people struggling to make ends meet.

A local activist, I’ve fought to save our post offices and protect local jobs. I’ve also successfully campaigned for the local NHS to provide a reception facility for psychiatric care patients, who were previously being held in police cells due to a lack of local beds.

I’m currently fighting on behalf of local residents to protect the Halifax A&E. I will do everything possible to save this vital service.

So if you want an MP who will stand up for the big local issues, vote for me and I’ll do all I can for the people of Halifax.
