SPENCER DRURY
CANDIDATE FOR ELTHAM
Spencer was born in Woolwich and has lived in Eltham for the last 20 years. He is married to Elizabeth and they have two school-age children. Spencer is a teacher and has been an Eltham Councillor since 2002.
Spencer has led the campaign against the Labour-run Council’s plans to introduce parking charges on the High Street and for an urgent care centre to be included in the proposed Eltham Community Hospital. He is a trustee of Eltham United Charities, which provides free housing for pensioners in the area.
Spencer is leading a campaign to improve the standard of Council housing across Eltham and Greenwich Borough and is the prime mover behind the successful application to achieve Community Asset status for the Dutch House pub.
Spencer said “I am a genuinely local candidate with a record of protecting Eltham from the Labour Party locally, but as an MP, I want to protect residents from Labour’s damaging policies nationally.”
